Happy Tuesday

Hi Families and Friends of 4th Grade:

We had a busy day. First thing this morning we did a SCHLAGAL spelling assessment. This assessent is going to get us ready for work in the Word Study portion of our day. The students spent time in the computer lab doing STAR tests that will get them ready for AR. We should have AR up and running by the end of the week. This afternoon Mrs. Geary began the math assessment that will help place the students in AM. And at the end of the day we got into Writers Workshop. The students were able to create a web in their Writers Notebook where they wrote down many ideas about summer and what summer makes them think about.

P.S. The weather is going to be VERY WARM this week and our classroom is NOT air conditioned please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.

The First Day of School - 2010

Mrs. Geary and I really enjoyed meeting and greeting all the new students in our class! We are proud of how hard everyone worked and the great attitudes the students displayed! Keep up the good work!

REMEMBER Families: Your child brought home a great deal of paperwork at the end of the morning today. Please take your time and review it all carefully. Please return all the appropriate forms to school. Many thanks for doing this!

WELCOME TO 4th GRADE in ROOM 229

We welcome all the new students who will arrive on Monday, August 30th to begin 4th Grade in Room 229. Last night we enjoyed meeting many of our new students and their families. We are so excited to get this school year going! We have many things to learn this year and we'll also have some fun! So enjoy the end of your summer and see you Monday!
